When HELP Can't Wait exists to supply very current needs for the comfort and convenience of nursing home residents that cannot be readily funded by the facility where they reside.
With Health care costs and minimum wage rising, these facilities are stretched to fund the regulated needs. "Quality of Life" items are simply the last to be funded as a result. The average stay in a long term facility has dropped from 3 years to 2.5. The target population are all at/or below the poverty level. Today's residents simply Cannot Wait for Funding - We Must Act NOW!!
The success of our mission relies solely on the funds and goods that are donated to us.

ALL PROCEEDS FROM OUR THRIFT STORE ARE USED BY WHCW TO ENHANCE AND ENRICH THE LIVES OF NURSING HOME RESIDENTS THROUGHOUT THE CSRA!!
We would love for you to come shop with us at our Thrift Store. You can find big name brands at thrift store prices, as well as helping to enrich and enhance the lives of nursing home residents. All your donations go to providing for these residents with items like; body wash, lotions, deodorants, body sprays, word seek puzzle books, coloring books, crayons/colored pencils, music players, clothing of all kinds, assorted crafting items, and much much more!!!
70 years or Older This Tax Season?
If you have an IRA or Roth IRA – you are required take a minimum deduction annually. Your financial advisor will tell you how much you have to withdraw to meet IRS guidelines. That’s called a Required Minimum Distribution or RMD. If you donate that amount to a deserving 501(3)C organization, you pay 0 taxes on the entire withdrawal. If you spend it, you must pay taxes on the amount of withdrawal from your RMD. WHCW would love to be the recipient of your RMD and will put it to good use (contributing to Nursing Home residents.)
We are also in need of cash donations — We are hoping that more will be able to commit to monthly donations on a regular basis - of $20 - $25 - This type of consistency keeps our bills paid and our residents HAPPY.
We are so grateful for the LOVE the community has shown for our ministry. We promise to continue serving our seniors in need in all area nursing homes as we have been doing for over 15 years now!
"OUR THRIFT STORE" is located INSIDE OUR OFFICE where you can find the most beautiful outfits, designer labels, purses, shoes and jewelry for VERY low prices. Best anywhere - all donated items (some new, never worn) all in like new condition - dry-cleaned and all sales benefit our nursing home residents. We are a Thrift Store because of our prices, but our items are a 'Cut Above' most thrift store items. You can now shop our regular hours: 10:00 - 4:00, Mon-Thurs.

BE SURE and check out our "DECOR DEN". Our volunteer Toni adds new things to the 'Den" weekly. An eclectic collection of beautiful vases, flowers, dishes, dolls, a little bit of everything. Many are antiques and Vintage pieces. Names like Andrea by Sadek, Lenox and others. Quality decor at thrift store prices! You must check it often because the good finds go fast!
‘Amazon Smile’ Review
Hey guys! I sign up to support When Help Can’t Wait on Amazon Smile a while back. I found it very difficult to remember to order through that specific page and missed opportunities for the charity. Since Covid I have downloaded the Amazon app and found that I can set it to automatically run every order through this program. Now I just order and if it is a qualifying product my charity of choice gets a donation of some percentage. Please consider supporting WHCW or a charity of your choice if you are an Amazon user.
